Heroes sometimes cry

When heroes shed tears, "Today, the General Command of the Volunteers was bombed by enemy planes, and Comrade Mao Anying died unfortunately." Peng Dehuai wrote a message of less than 30 words for more than an hour, and he really didn't know how to explain it to Chairman Mao!

On November 25th, 1950, it was the second day after the volunteers who entered the DPRK started the second battle. At 11 noon, four American bombers flew over the headquarters of the volunteers. The staff officers in the war room of the headquarters listened attentively and felt that the sound was getting farther and farther away. They thought that the enemy planes had bombed in the north, and they didn't care too much.

Hong Xuezhi, deputy commander, was very alert and rushed up from the air-raid shelter. Under his command, all the people present began to pack up their things and prepare to move into the air-raid shelter. Mao Anying and another staff officer packed up their cables and landed at the back. Four bombers suddenly folded back from the north, and then flew over the war room, throwing off hundreds of napalm bombs. Mao Anying, then translated by Chi Si, was burned to death by the napalm bombs of the US military.

Peng Dehuai was stunned. He didn't speak for a long time. He didn't eat or talk. He walked around the cave all night. He didn't sleep, and neither could anyone else. Peng Dehuai asked for an electric newspaper from the communication staff and drafted a telegram for Chairman Mao himself.

Heroes sometimes shed tears. Although they won the Korean War, countless Chinese good players lost their young lives. Even Chairman Mao's own son Mao Anying was killed in the Korean War. When the bad news came, his wife, Liu Siqi, was completely devastated.

It wasn't until 1962 that Mao Anying sacrificed 12 years, and 32-year-old Liu Siqi and Yang Maozhi got married in Beijing's Wang Hongbin Siheyuan. When Chairman Mao was gratified, he copied a copy of his newly created Bu Operator Yongmei as a gift, and sent his secretary to 300 yuan to buy a gift for Liu Siqi.

When I saw this, Liu Siqi, who was affectionate and righteous, burst into tears. She knew that Chairman Mao regarded himself as her own daughter and always cared about everything about herself. She made up her mind to live well and reassure her beloved shore English.

At that time, the Volunteer Army Command in Dayudong, North Korea was attacked by enemy planes, and Mao Anying died heroically at the age of 28. Peng Dehuai reported the news to the Central Military Commission, and Premier Zhou, who presided over the daily work of the Central Military Commission, received a telegram at the first time.

Premier Zhou considered the overall situation, and Chairman Mao was concentrating on directing the second battle, so he didn't report to him for the time being. On January 2, 1951, Premier Zhou found Ye Zilong, director of the confidential room of the Central General Office, and asked him to send Peng Dehuai's telegram to Chairman Mao.

Premier Zhou also wrote a personal letter, detailing the reasons why he didn't report Mao Anying's sacrifice at the first time. Ye Zilong came to Building 1, New Sixth Institute with a telegram and a letter. Chairman Mao just woke up and sat on the sofa in the living room drinking tea and reading a newspaper.

Accompanied by Li Yinqiao, Ye Zilong put the telegram and letter on the tea table in front of Chairman Mao as usual, and then stood silently waiting for Chairman Mao's instructions. As usual, Chairman Mao picked up the telegram on the tea table and read it.

Chairman Mao read the short telegram for three or four minutes. He buried his head deeply. When he looked up, his face was very ugly, but he didn't shed tears. He put down the telegram, and Chairman Mao picked up a personal letter from Premier Zhou and read it for another three or four minutes.

Looking slowly at the cigarette box on the tea table, Chairman Mao lit a cigarette with trembling hands and smoked it. The scene was so quiet that he only heard the sound of Chairman Mao's heavy smoking. After a long time, Chairman Mao said with a sigh, "Hey, he is my son of Mao Zedong." He waved to Ye Zilong and said, "In war, there will always be sacrifices. It's nothing."

The problem is, when Mao Anying died, he had just been married to Liu Siqi for one year. Chairman Mao knew that it would be a great tragedy if he told his daughter-in-law the news at this time. After receiving this telegram from the General Command of the Volunteers, the power receiver in Zhongnanhai, Beijing was frightened, and he didn't know what to do.

They didn't send it directly to Chairman Mao's office, but they handed it to Zhou Enlai first. Zhou Enlai took the telegram and didn't believe his eyes. He put down the telegram for a while before dialing Liu Shaoqi and Zhu De.

Liu Shaoqi and Zhu De soon arrived at Zhou Enlai's office to discuss how to report to Chairman Mao. After careful consideration, they decided not to tell Chairman Mao for the time being. It was not until the next day after New Year's Day in 1951 that Zhou Enlai handed the telegram and a letter attached to him to Chairman Mao's secretary Ye Zilong, who handed it over to Chairman Mao.

At that time, Chairman Mao was working in the office of Qinzheng Hall in Zhongnanhai when he received this extraordinary telegram. After reading it for a long time, he said to Ye Zilong, who had been standing on the side, alas, there are always casualties in war. It doesn't matter!

Soon, Peng Dehuai returned to China to report his work to Chairman Mao, and gave a detailed report of Mao Anying's sacrifice. Peng Dehuai said to Chairman Mao with a heavy heart, Chairman, I didn't protect him because you entrusted him to me. I am responsible, and I ask for punishment!

Mao Anying's unfortunate sacrifice greatly shocked Chairman Mao's mind. He was a leader and a father with rich feelings. When Peng Dehuai talked to him guiltily about not taking good care of Mao Anying, he remained silent for a long time and smoked cigarettes.

Chairman Mao looked up and stared at the depressed willow branches outside the window, chanting softly, "In the past, the willow was moved, even though it was in Hannan. Now, it's a sad river pool, and the trees are still like this. What a shame!" He gave a long sigh.

Chairman Mao was silent for a long time, took a few steps gently, and told Peng Dehuai that people always die when they make a revolution. An Ying was an ordinary soldier who gave his young life, and he did his duty as a Communist. Because he is my son of Mao Zedong, he should not die for the common cause of the Chinese and Korean peoples. How can this be true in the world? Which soldier's flesh and blood is not born by his parents?

When heroes shed tears, all the people present were already crying, and Peng Dehuai was even more worried. Chairman Mao decided to hide the news first, and waited until the right time to tell Liu Siqi that on the eve of Mao Anying's visit to the DPRK, he hid the truth from his wife on the grounds of "business trip".

Shortly after Mao Anying left, Liu Siqi received a letter. In the letter, Mao Anying told his wife to study hard, and expressed guilt for not being with her. Liu Siqi never received a letter from her husband again. At first, she doubted it, but she was relieved at the thought of what Mao Anying said to her when he left.

Mao Anying told Liu Siqi not to worry about him before going to the DPRK, and told her that the local communication on this business trip was not smooth, and it didn't matter if she couldn't receive the letter for a while. Every time Liu Siqi went to Zhongnanhai to visit Chairman Mao, he would ask about Mao Anying.

Chairman Mao felt very uncomfortable, but he still acted as if nothing had happened in front of his daughter-in-law. Until one day in 1952, Hou Bo, the unsuspecting leader of the Central Photography Group, gave Liu Siqi a photo of Mao Anying.

In the photo, Mao Anying was wearing a volunteer army uniform and a Korean People's Army cap. In a flash, Liu Siqi understood that there was no doubt that An Ying had gone to the front. I immediately realized that there must be something wrong with such a long time without a letter.

Liu Siqi couldn't bear it anymore. She rushed into Zhongnanhai with a photo. As soon as she saw Chairman Mao, Liu Siqi handed him the photo and asked, Dad, why hasn't there been a letter from Anying for so long? Does he not love me anymore?

Even when heroes shed tears, Chairman Mao, whose heart bleeds, can only tell the truth. Si Qi, An Ying has been sacrificed! Liu Siqi's mind went blank, and he burst into tears directly. The cry shocked Premier Zhou. I don't know how long he cried. Liu Siqi heard someone whisper in his ear, Si Qi, you are sorry for my loss. Your father's hands are cold.

Liu Siqi didn't wake up until he saw Chairman Mao woodenly sitting on the sofa, with no expression on his face. After drying his tears, Liu Siqi said, Dad, I won't cry. If Shoe Ying sees me like this, it will certainly be uncomfortable.

Two years after Mao Anying's sacrifice, Liu Siqi learned the bad news. What a thrill it was. In order not to make her father more sad, Liu Siqi fought back tears. How can all this be kept from Chairman Mao? Chairman Mao said, Si Qi, you are my own daughter from now on.

Send the wind and rain back to spring, and the snow flies to welcome the spring. It's already a cliff full of ice. It's still pretty, but it doesn't compete for spring. She only reports the spring. When the mountain flowers are blooming, she smiles in the bushes. Chairman Mao praised the great love between Liu Siqi and Mao Anying with the noble character of plum blossoms.

In October, 1963, Liu Siqi and Yang Maozhi married and gave birth to their eldest son, named Yang Xiaoying. Liu Siqi and Yang Maozhi thought it was a pity that Mao Anying died. To show their respect for him, they took this name to commemorate him, and Liu Siqi gave birth to three more children.

Heroes sometimes shed tears. On May 12, 2006, Liu Siqi took his family to the DPRK and came to the former site of the Dayudong Volunteer Command, where pine trees had been planted. When Liu Siqi, who was full of tears, left, he took a pine tower and a handful of soil.

Anying, today, I brought my children to visit your grave. They admire you and miss you. I'm old, and I'm not Si Qi anymore. Anying, Anying, once I can't visit your grave again because of old age or illness, they will replace me. You will always be their relative!
